1. About QuoteBolt

QuoteBolt ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered quoting platform designed for Australian tradespeople. By creating an account or using our service, you ("you", "user") agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

QuoteBolt uses artificial intelligence to help you generate quote and invoice documents. All quotes and invoices produced by QuoteBolt are templates only. They are generated based on the job notes and business details you provide.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all content before sending any quote or invoice to a client. QuoteBolt does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any generated document.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You must ensure all pricing in your quotes accurately reflects your actual costs and rates.
  • You are responsible for compliance with all applicable Australian tax law, including GST obligations under the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999.
  • You must only enable GST features if your business is registered for GST with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your ABN and all business details entered into the platform.
  • You must not use QuoteBolt to generate fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful documents.
  • You must comply with the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) in all dealings with your clients.

4. Not Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice

QuoteBolt is not a licensed financial advisor, legal advisor, or tax agent. Nothing on this platform or in generated documents constitutes financial, legal, or tax advice.

ABN and GST features are provided as a convenience only. You should verify your tax registration status and obligations with a registered tax agent or the Australian Taxation Office.

5. Payments and Processing Fees

QuoteBolt integrates with Stripe to enable deposit collection from your clients. By connecting a Stripe account, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

A 1.5% platform fee is added on top of the client's payment via Stripe — so your quoted amount is preserved and the platform fee is charged to the client. However, Stripe also deducts their own payment processing fee (approximately 1.75% + $0.30 per transaction) from the amount transferred to your account. As a result, the net amount you receive will be slightly less than your quoted total. For example, on a $1,000 invoice, Stripe may deduct approximately $17.80, meaning you receive approximately $982.20. These fees are set by Stripe and are outside QuoteBolt's control. We recommend factoring payment processing costs into your pricing.

QuoteBolt does not store your clients' payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe.

6. Subscription and Billing

QuoteBolt offers a free tier and a Pro plan at $25 AUD per month (inclusive of GST where applicable). Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

  • The free plan includes up to 5 AI-generated quotes per month.
  • The Pro plan is billed monthly and renews automatically.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice to your registered email address.

7. Intellectual Property

The QuoteBolt platform, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by QuoteBolt and protected by Australian intellectual property law.

You retain ownership of the business information and content you enter into QuoteBolt. By using the service, you grant QuoteBolt a limited licence to process and store that data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuoteBolt is not liable for:

  • Any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading quotes or invoices sent to your clients.
  • Any loss of income, contract, or business opportunity arising from the use of this service.
  • Any penalties, fines, or tax liabilities arising from incorrect GST or tax treatment in generated documents.
  • Any disruption, downtime, or data loss caused by third-party services (including Supabase, Stripe, or Anthropic).

Where liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to re-supplying the affected service or refunding the cost of that service.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in unlawful activity, or use the service in a way that harms other users or third parties. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
